Come along to one of my classes to experience an integrated practice of yoga postures to improve balance, strength and flexibility synchronised with breathing techniques to benefit mind, body and soul.

ABOUT ME

Deborah Meara

I am a qualified Yoga Teacher and Pregnancy Yoga Teacher. I undertook my 300hr trauma sensitive Yoga Alliance Professionals and IYN accredited two year course at Creative Calm Manchester with the wonderful and experienced Janine Hurley and Chelsea Canovas. Continuing my professional development in my area of specialist interest I completed a further 36hr training in Pregnancy Yoga with Yogacampus which is accredited with Yoga Alliance International. My choices of training qualification have enabled me to grow and develop as a teacher and to be able to teach yoga in my own authentic style rather than adhering to a set stereotype.

My first foray into yoga was at 16yrs of age, but I began to get serious about my practice 17 years ago when I was changing career and needed an outlet for worry and stress and began attending regular weekly classes. I was immediately hooked by the mindful practice of using the breath to move in and out of physical postures and increase or decrease energy levels. I am acutely aware of the positive impact which yoga has on my flexibility, strength and balance. Over the years I have adapted my own personal practice to suit me and my body.


As I have developed my teaching, I have become particularly interested in yoga anatomy and how the postures in yoga can be adapted and modified to make yoga accessible to all. I firmly believe that there is a style of yoga for every body and my aim is to share the benefits of a regular yoga practice on our physical and mental wellbeing to as wide an audience as I possibly can.

MY CLASSES

Regular practice of yoga supports physical and mental wellbeing. 

In all classes, students are taught the various options to achieve a posture so they can make informed choices and  practice in a mindful way.

BEGINNERS YOGA (1HR)

For those new to yoga or returning to your practice. Enjoy exploring yoga postures (asanas) and how to adapt them for your own body. Learn about the different  breath techniques and how to relax.

YOGA FOR MINDFUL MOVEMENT (1HR)

A measured and  mindful yoga class of guided asana sequence, synchronised breath and nourishing relaxation. This is an inclusive class, accessible to all.

YOGA FOR ALL (1HR)

This class consists of movement, breath-work and relaxation to promote physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Variations and modifications of yoga postures ensure this class is suitable for all levels.

WEDNESDAY

09:30- 10.30am: Yoga for Mindful Movement at Thornton Steward, HG4 4BD

What you will need: a mat, blanket and cushion.

How to book your space:  complete the online contact form or email directly. You will be sent a student registration form and payment details. 

Investment: Classes booked in 4 week blocks: £32. Drop ins £10  per class. Payable by BACS transfer

THURSDAY

09:20-10:20: Yoga for Mindful Movement at The Townsend Suite, The Station, Richmond, DL104LD

What you will need: a mat, blanket and cushion.

How to book your space:  complete the online contact form or email directly. You will be sent a student registration form and payment details. 

Investment: Classes are booked in 6 consecutive week blocks: £56

Payable by BACS transfer prior to attendance at first class.

Drop-ins : £11 (subject to availability)

Drop-in spaces available- please email bluebeeyoga@outlook.com.

10.30-11:30: Beginner's Yoga at The Townsend Suite, The Station, Richmond, DL104LD

What you will need: a mat, blanket and cushion. N.B. New to yoga and unsure about which type of mat? Contact me and we can see what suits you best.
